A promise is a way of binding a future self who never agreed to it. Defend the right of that future self to refuse.

I find promises to be intriguing. I am intent on defending the right of my future self to refuse. Perhaps I aim not to let down the people I make promises to. I do feel a responsibility to do what is right in that regard — to always be telling the truth when I am making a statement. Honesty is crucial to me. I know that if I make a promise that I believe to be true, I intend to maintain the integrity of that moment by following through with the promise into the future. Is that fair to my future self? It’s not something you can say. It’s a feeling. You cannot motivate people. It will not happen. Maybe you can incentivize, but that is a short term solution. You must inspire. Find out what you can about a person in as short of a period as possible and then INSPIRE.

I recently learned the subconscious mind processes upwards of 11 million bits per second. Contrarily, the conscious mind processes information at 40 bits per second. Isn't that bizarre? Such a significant disparity. I do find it intriguing that computing power is the metric we use for the brain. Is our brain truly comparable to a computer?

From this evidence, I conclude this:
